About These Pages

I was just putzing about, trying to teach myself the basics of CSS, and I ended up adding some content about Xnews to my test pages. Well, not so much content, but links to content. I did this only because I got sick of looking at my maze of twisty little pages, all alike, but perhaps it can be useful for some Xnewsers. You'll also find some junk I've tossed in for no good reason; it's your lot in life to wade through it if you want to use my pages. They were all made with a text editor by mashing fingers against keyboard, except for the JavaScript, which I lifted from a couple of sites.

There are some more web pages of mine, usually available through the main remarqs.net page.

Acknowledgements

Thanks to everyone who has helped anyone with Xnews in the group news.software.readers. I learned most of what I know reading that group.

Special thanks to everyone who has put up a website to help Xnews users. Without them, there would be no reason for my pages to exist. Extra special thanks to David B for providing the original instructions for using Stunnel 3.x with Xnews; all I did was give updated instructions once Stunnel 4.x arrived.

Most of all, thanks to Luu Tran for giving us Xnews.

That there image will serve as a mailto link if you are using JavaScript. If not, you'll have to type my e-mail address yourself. And if you can't see the image, you'll have to rot13 the alt text, too. Please include the tag [Xnews] in the Subject of the e-mail to make sure it doesn't get caught in my spam filters. Thoughts, suggestions, fixes, &c. are welcome, but I can't promise a speedy response. You can also find me in news.software.readers. I'm »Q«, by the way.
